First, I wanted to say thank you! Your website has been very informative and has helped me select a diamond in our budget that I think is great. I'm hoping you could provide your opinion though.

Below are links to the setting and stone we are leaning towards. Any comments or suggestions would be so appreciated.

James Allen Rose Gold Ring sku-3738445

Here are the details of my budget and wants in case you have something better to recommend!

Budget for diamond only is around $5500. Looking for 0.9-1.10 ct.

I really just want something beautiful that really sparkles and will choose quality over size for sure.

Can’t wait to hear from you!

Thank you for your inquiry. I am happy to help. And I am glad to hear that my website is helpful. Thank you for your positive feedback. I looked at the below diamond sku 3738445, which you selected. And it is an absolutely excellent selection.

I ran my own diamond search on JamesAllen.com to see if there was anything else to consider, possibly in a lower clarity grade, to save money, but this one is hands-down the best! Well done! It has perfect proportions and angles. And it is a “high I” color, which means it is whiter than other I color diamonds.

This diamond will be beautifully showcased in the ring you selected, as well!

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Happy Holiday!

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, the very same day we e-mailed you we tried to purchase the ring and the diamond was sold. It was so upsetting and now nothing seems to compare to that stone…it was beautiful and great value for money.

I came up with a few more options and was hoping you could give me your feedback about them. I want something that is truly comparable to the last stone so I don't feel that we're compromising. Looking forward to your reply!

One more,

I'm so sorry, clearly obsessing. Your help is appreciated more than I can tell you!!!

Welcome back! Nice to hear from you, again.

I am sorry about the diamond being sold, however, I am confident out of the four diamonds you have selected there is at least one that is just as great!

If I lined these four diamonds in front of you, in person, you would not be able to tell the difference between them. They are all eye-clean, a higher clarity grade, about the same carat weight, all excellent cut and H-I in color, which is hard to tell the difference between one color grade.

But, with that being said, you still need to pick one. So, let's get down to the nitty gritty.

I would select diamond sku 4042998.

This diamond has excellent crown and pavilion angles. And these angles are critical for optimal light reflection. In addition, you might as well choose the higher color grade for a whiter diamond. Also, the diamond does not have fluorescence, which isn't necessarily a negative attribute, however, if there is a choice, I would choose without.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
