I’m looking at buying this diamond and wanted a professional opinion. I haven’t seen it outside, but the floresence inside didn’t seem to be a big deal. It was clear and sparkly compared to other diamonds I saw. My only concern is the cavity. Is this a big deal due to the location and VS1 clarity?
My understanding is it isn’t a big deal at all. Please help! I had the jeweler place the diamond in the wedding set I’m purchasing.

Thank you for your inquiry. I am happy to help! The cavity does not need to be a concern due to the location and the clarity grade, you are correct!
Feel confident with your purchase! The ring and diamond look beautiful! |

I’m definitely feeling more confident. Do you believe $19,000 is a good price for this diamond?
I was a little worried about the medium blue floresence but read it can be hit or miss on diamonds with the color grade this one has.
Also, with the cavity, should I worry about dirt and oil being trapped inside?

You do not need to be concerned about dirt and oil with the cavity.
Regarding fluorescence, this is nothing to worry about. As long as you don’t mind seeing a possible blue glow under UV light. There are articles that say fluorescence can make a high color grade diamond, such as an E color diamond appear hazy, however it is rare….and if you don’t see it with this one, then you have nothing to be concerned about. As for the price, of $19K for the diamond is a reasonable price for a local retail store. Just for your information, I did find a very similar diamond on JamesAllen.com, for $17,270, take a look at diamond sku 2211532: |

What about this diamond? (https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=6261409380)
Are the feathers a big deal? I was shown this today and the lady seems to think I’ll like it more.

The feathers are a non-issue. The GIA report looks good. At this point, it just comes down to which one you prefer. |
