Hello Mr. Sebastian,
My family plans to buy a diamond earring in INDIA. My budget is INR. 16,00,000/- (Approx USD 22,000)
Interested around 1 Ct per earring so total 2 Ct and Round diamond. We are interested in more sparkle and better color. Please suggest the CUT and Color. Thanks!

Thank you for your inquiry. I am happy to help! Regarding the cut, you should only consider Excellent cut diamonds. It is the diamond’s proportions and angles that dictate the diamond’s sparkle.
As for color, that is a matter of preference. I would suggest, however, to consider H/I color diamonds. Please let me know if you need more assistance. |

Thanks Mr. Sebastian,
What about Clarity (like VVS1 VVS2 etc). Is there any specific reason to choose H/I color. Here, diamond vendor recommends VVS1 or VVS2 with D/E/F color. Please advise.

You are welcome. I suggested H/I simply because H/I are in the middle of the color spectrum, so they’ll still be white diamonds, but you’re saving money. If you feel like you or the wearer are very sensitive to color and think the I color will appear yellow, then you can safely look at G/H color.
As for clarity, it is absolutely unnecessary to spend the additional money on VVS1 and VVS2 diamonds. The main objective is to have diamonds without visible inclusions, as well as to not have inclusions that will impede the diamonds ability to reflect light. This can safely be achieved at VS2 and VS1 clarity grades. And this will save you money. Please let me know if you have additional questions. 🙂 |
