Hi Sebastian,

I recently wrote you to thank you for your insightful comments and to remark how much more informative and helpful your comments are as compared to other experts. I just read this article and was thinking how great an article it is when I realized that it was you who had written it!

Once again, thank you for your wonderful, very useful insights. My fiance and I are currently shopping for a 1.7 – 2.0+ round cut diamond. Our budget is around $18K. We are working with London Jewelers in NY, and we are really trusting our salesperson.

She comes across as honest and genuine in her desire to help. Today, she told me that SI1 stones can be beautiful, which is exactly what you said in your article. Thanks so much. If you have any thoughts, they are most welcome.

Thank you so much! Do you think that an SI1 grade is okay for a 2 carat provided that the inclusions are not clustered?

Hello, an SI1 is perfectly fine for any carat weight, as long as you can't see the inclusions. 🙂
